Soak your dog’s leash in a bowl or bucket with hot water for 15 minutes, using a gentle dog shampoo or soap ( do not use human soap, it can harm your dog). Rub it gently to remove any dirt and use a mild brush if needed (toothbrushes are great). Rinse the leash under running water and squeeze out the excess water. Hang to dry, avoiding direct sun exposure.
